I listened to the inauguration in Washington on the radio today. Sober and somber tone of Obama's speech. The task ahead is indeed daunting. I am not waiting for a miracle and I do not have many expectations. We'll see.
But I am happy, and I am happy for my kids that they live in the United States now, in an era where the president of this country is an African-American. This symbol reassures me that, in the midst of chaos, we have - somehow - the ability to progress !
