Ah! Antonioni! I saw Zabriskie Point when I was studying art in Paris 25 years ago!
I discovered Antonioni, Fellini, Bergman, Bunuel, Truffaut, Visconti, Godard and Wim Wenders around that time. I spent a lot of time in theatres in Paris! The nice thing about living there is that it was possible to see all the movies from the sixties and the seventies at almost any time. There was always a little theatre playing one of them and I saw quite a lot.
From "Zabriskie Point" I remember an impressive and amazingly beautiful final sequence and of course the moment when they go to Zabriskie Point in Death Valley.
I do not remember it very well, except that at the time I was very interested to see how Antonioni would talk about the young american generation. Youth is already not an easy subject but when it comes to talk about another culture on top of that it seems a very complicated mission.
